Afterwards a round initiates, during which the girl starts out fully clothed. The player must first choose one of these girls to compete against. Granted they are all claimed to be 18 years old at minimum, but it's still deep on the creep scale. So in TYS, the player is tasked with playing strip-yakyuken against multiple young women. I don't know what it was called, not worth the effort to find out. The earliest known was created by Hudson Soft for the Sharp MZ-80K in 1981. However TYS is not the first strip-yakyuken video game. That variant is what TYS uses as its premise. Meaning that the player who loses a round must remove one article of clothing each time they do so. ![]() There is a variant of yakyuken that is basically strip-yakyuken. Although it can be far more elaborate than that ( en./wiki/Yakyuken ). First let me explain that yakyuken is basically a game based on rock paper scissors. ![]() (Eventually TYS was ported to the PlayStation as well, although that version was an unofficial pirate.) This game never left Japan, understandably. A year later, the same company ported TYS to Saturn, and in doing so added a little extra content. TYS was developed and published by Societa Daikanyama in 1994 for the 3DO. Wangan Trial Love carries not only one of the most absurd control schemes I've ever experienced for a racing game, but you also have to do all these little mini jobs in between racing and dating and such.35m PlayedThe Yakyuu Ken Special: Konya wa 12-kaisen (henceforth TYS) is a Japan-only adult-themed yakyuken simulation. Code R is an absolute blatant rip-off of Initial D with dating girls and racing cars. Two of the most unanticipated games I've purchased is Code R and Wangan Trial Love. Uno is super popular in Japan, so it's interesting to see a licensed Uno video game. It's odd.Ī somewhat under the radar game for the West is Uno DX. ![]() However you can play all sorts of games poker, roulette, columns, etc. If you win, you get a bromide type picture. It's a collection of mini games - all of them are absolutely terrible - that's "hosted" by a different girl. One somewhat odd game I came across a while back was Rapyulus Panic. PV is really good, and has character designs by Ryo Tanaka who did the character works for the Virtua Fighter anime. It's published by SETA who made a handful of mahjong games on Saturn and oddly enough some racing games on Nintendo consoles. The character designer for this game is Hiroyuki Utatane, who was well known for his highly erotic artwork from the 90s.Īnother really good mahjong game is Super Real Mahjong PV. What I like most about it is that most of these games don't actually show you who you're playing against during play, but this game does in really good detail (it's an arcade port after all). It was an arcade game by Naxat that got a near perfect port on Saturn. My personal favorite out of them is a game called Mahjong Yon-Shimai Wakakusa Monogatari. ![]() Roughly thirteen of those were strip mahjong. The Saturn received twenty-three adult games. It's great however because there's a lot of games I would have never known of otherwise and it's made me appreciate Japanese Saturn much more. I have a good deal of the mahjong games on Saturn as I collect pretty much anything Saturn that has an anime girl on it - not even going to try and explain it any other way because that's honestly what it comes down to.
